Our task here is to help adult students gain skills that can help them attain and succeed in the available jobs that pay family-sustaining wages. This course will help you guide students through a process that helps them set career goals and secure the educational services they need to pursue their personal and employment goals in the changing economy. The purpose of this course is to prepare you – instructors and counselors – to implement the Integrating Career Awareness into the ABE & ESOL Classroom (ICA) Curriculum Guide within the context of your situation. The hands-on activities will increase your level of comfort and familiarity with the curriculum guide and the related topics.
